Journalism

As a successful author and full-time freelance writer from Pittsburgh, I've written more than 3,000 articles in many magazines, from trade journals to general interest publications to Web sites. I also have five years of reporting experience for a major daily newspaper. 

Copywriting

As a copywriter, I have written successful blogs, newsletters, brochures, Web site content and other marketing collateral. I write good, crisp copy that will help you sell your products or service to your customers. My experience includes working with two award-winning interactive web design agencies where I honed my copywriting skills. Additionally, as a blog consultant, I can teach you how to write compelling headlines and intriguing blog posts. 

Public Relations

My versatile writing background led to a successful public relations career where I developed an excellent working relationship with the media. My media pitches have generated over 500 placements for small businesses and non-profit organizations.

Personal

I'm dedicated to serving the community with the same commitment to excellence that I apply to my writing services. I'm a former member of the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project. I also co-founded the Pittsburgh Sports League and Two Guys From Italy Productions. 

I'm married to a wonderful woman, Dr. Amanda McKendree, who is the assistant director of the Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Notre Dame.
