Journalism

As a successful author and full-time freelance writer from Pittsburgh, I've written more than 3,000 articles in many magazines, from trade journals to general interest publications to Web sites. I also have five years of reporting experience for a major daily newspaper. 

Social Media

As a social media coach and a social media ghostwriter, I can show you how to write compelling headlines and intriguing posts to better engage with your followers. I can also teach you the basics of setting up and maintaining a Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn account through one-on-one training. As a copywriter, I have written successful blog posts, newsletters, brochures, website content and other marketing collateral. My versatile writing background led to a successful public relations career where I developed an excellent working relationship with the media. My media pitches have generated over 500 placements for small businesses and non-profit organizations.

Personal

I'm dedicated to serving the community with the same commitment to excellence that I apply to my writing services. I'm a former member of the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project. I also co-founded the Pittsburgh Sports League and Two Guys From Italy Productions. 

I'm married to an awesome woman, Dr. Amanda McKendree, who is the assistant director of the teaching and learning center at the University of Notre Dame.
